From 800BC to 500AD, Central Asia witnessed the rise and fall of many ancient states including Sogdiana, Bactrian, Khorezm, state of Akhemenids, state of Alexander the Great, Greco-Bactrian state. In 600BC, Cyrus the founder of Akhemenid dynasty conquered Central Asia. This state was destroyed by Alexander the Great, Greco-Bactrian State came into existence, which incorporated, to the greater part of present day Uzbekistan.
